Ford was born in Waco, Texas, graduated from Richfield High School in Waco and Texas Tech University with a BBA degree in Finance in 1976. After graduating from Texas Tech, he worked for Lumberman’s Investment Corporation in Austin, Texas, Southwest Real Estate Investments in Houston, Texas and joined Wm. Taylor and Co. in 1981.
His accomplishments in the construction business with over 35 years of experience are numerous and he has participated in completion of many multimillion dollar projects completed since joining the company. Ford is a former President, Chairman and Board Member of the Central Texas Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America, serves on the State AGC/Texas Building Branch Board of Directors, is a member of the Waco Business League, the Rotary Club of Waco, and Ridgewood Country Club and he was appointed by Governor Abbott to serve as a Director on the Brazos River Authority Board.
Ford and his wife Ellen have two dogs, Pearl and Riley. When he is not working, you can find him bird hunting, training his retriever or fishing for black bass.
